Those that are with us

There is an incredible story told in the book of 2 Kings 6: 8 – 23. The enemy has surrounded the city where Elisha is, seeking to capture him, mainly because Elisha’s presence in Israel ensured that all the enemies’ plans were defeated. In verse 17 we see that Elisha draws his strength from the fact that those who are with him are greater than those that are against him. God had sent His armies to stand with Israel in their time of trouble. God has placed Lepta in Mathare and our desire is to stand against the enemy in whichever form it appears be it poverty, fear, violence, ignorance, etc. Yet we would be much stronger if those that are with us are greater than those that are against us. This is an invitation and a call to you to stand with Mathare as the army of the Lord stood with Elisha and Israel. May it be those that are standing with us are greater than those that are against us.
